# What if your warehouse could talk directly to an AI?

After twenty-five years in supply chain, I thought I'd seen every approach to operational insight, two sprints ago, our Transformation Squad showed me something that genuinely changed my view.

I'll be honest with you, a year ago, if someone had told me we'd be having natural language conversations with our warehouse data, I'd have smiled politely and changed the subject. But we've just completed a proof of concept with Netsuite New MVP that's made me sit up and take serious notice, and I think it might do the same for you.
If you've spent any time in operations or supply chain, you know the drill. You want a unified view across your systems, ERP, WMS, CRM, so you build ETL pipelines, stand up a data warehouse, onboard expensive BI tools, and hire a team of analysts to keep it all running. It works, eventually, but it's slow, costly, and the moment something changes, you're back waiting in the queue.
What if we could sweep all of that aside and just get to the insight? No pipeline, no wait, just answers, grounded in real data, right now.
With AI, I genuinely believe we're on the cusp of something that makes that possible. Over the last couple of sprints, the WAERlinx team have been working with **NetSuite’s AI Connector**, and our heads are spinning with the possibilities.

The[**NetSuite AI Connector Service**](https://www.netsuite.com/portal/products/artificial-intelligence-ai/mcp-server.shtml) is a protocol-driven integration built on the **Model Context Protocol (MCP)**. It gives customers a flexible, scalable way to connect AI directly to NetSuite, enabling real-time warehouse insight.
In practical terms, WAERlinx is now integrated with NetSuite's AI, meaning your warehouse data, pick face data, operator performance, zone capacity, count results and *more*, can be combined with everything NetSuite knows about your business, then queried conversationally.
What this could look like in practice for you
Imagine asking
- **"Which SKUs are at risk of expiry across all locations this quarter?"**, and getting a prioritised list back in seconds.
- **"Do I have sufficient capacity in my Freezer Zone for next week's expected deliveries?"**, answered before your planning call, not after.
- **"How is pick performance trending against order volume this week?"**, and then, "Oh, can you display that as a chart for my stand-up?" Done.
No reports, no exports, no waiting for someone in the office. Just answers, grounded in accurate, real-time data from your WMS and ERP working together.
We're at the beginning of this, which is partly why I'm so excited. The proof of concept shows the connection works, the insights are accurate, and the potential is huge.
